Sad news as a Championship Manager hero hangs up his boots

You didn’t really play the game unless you signed Cherno Samba.

WHILE CHERNO SAMBA never set the real world alight, he will go down in Football/Championship manager folklore as one of the all times greats of the game.

There’s no chance of you being able to turn your game off without saving this time in the hopes of getting something special out of the 29-year old as he today announced his retirement from football.

Samba shot to prominence in both the real and virtual worlds having scored 132 goals in 32 games for his school team before being snapped up by Millwall as a 14-year old.

While Samba continued to score for fun at youth and academy level, a purported big money move to Manchester United or Liverpool — as was reported at the time — never materialised and Samba, like Freddy Adu, carved out a career with some of the lesser lights of European football including Norwegian second division side FK Tonsberg.

Today though, he called it a day:

There is no word, however, on when Tonton Zola Moukoko plans to announce his retirement.

Reports: United line up €100 million Müller bid

Is this one of the worst football kits in recent memory?
